A week ago, Sunny, an animal rescuer from Little Wanderers NYC, received an alert about a kitten found in a neighborhood in the Bronx, New York.
Together with a local cat colony carer, she quickly responded and took action to rescue the kitten. When they arrived, there was no sign of the cat or kitten due to the street cleaning.
However, Sunny placed some food down and played cat sounds on her phone, successfully drawing out the kitten. Upon seeing the kitten, Sunny noticed something was wrong with her eyes.
Although originally thought to be a severe case of entropion, Sunny discovered there was more going on with the kitten’s eyes.
Oracle, a five-month-old kitten, was safely captured using a humane trap despite being extremely scared.
She was transported to an animal hospital where it was discovered that her eyes had ruptured and she was completely blind. Fortunately, she received much-needed medical care.
Oracle, a helpless and blind stray cat, was in danger of not surviving on the streets. Thanks to the kindness of Little Wanderers NYC and Tim, a caring volunteer, she was rescued and given a chance at a new life.

Her foster dad is taking great care of her as she prepares for double eye enucleation.
After a brief adjustment period, Oracle has settled into her new home with ease. She takes comfort in the familiarity of her surroundings, which she has carefully mapped out. The presence of a warm lap and a loving human companion brings her great joy.
Despite being blind, Oracle lives a full life. She relies on her other senses, such as touch through her whiskers, super hearing, and sense of smell to navigate the world around her.
