After discovering a small kitten trapped inside, the man utilized all available resources to safely remove the animal from its precarious position.
During a construction project, Matt heard a kitten’s cries coming from the excavator at the end of the day.
Despite no one else being able to hear it, he found the trapped kitten near the engine. Unable to reach it, he dismantled the excavator’s plates to save the newborn kitten.
Max was the only surviving kitten of his litter, and he was found by Matt, who had to remove a bolt and plate near the engine before wrapping the kitten in a jacket and driving to meet Matt’s sister for critical care.
When the tiny kitten arrived, he was only 2.5 ounces (70 grams), half his expected size, and still had his umbilical cord attached.

Once he reached 3-4 weeks old and weighed over a pound, he graduated to a playpen where he could exercise his legs and develop his walking skills.
As soon as he arrived, the cat discovered the humans’ bed and quickly made it his own, snuggling under the comforter just like his people do.
He’s a social feline, always seeking out the company of the family members, jumping onto laps and shoulders, and purring contentedly.
He’s also a playful creature, happy to engage with anyone willing to play, including the family dog. In short, this miraculous cat is a wonderful addition to the family.
The once pint-sized wonder has blossomed into a lively and curious young tabby. He spends his days honing his running and pouncing skills, while also exploring every nook and cranny of the house with a mischievous spirit.
With his playful nature, he enjoys catching invisible bugs while rolling around wedged between two cushions. He is an affectionate nap buddy who showers everyone in the house with snuggles.
Despite a difficult situation as a newborn, Max was rescued and given a new lease on life. He now has a loving forever family that adores him.
