Rescue volunteers and staff members are aware that saving and rehabilitating stray and abandoned cats may be difficult and unrewarding jobs. Yet occasionally, through the labor of rescue, a remarkable cat’s narrative may change lives and hearts, and such tales never grow old.
One such cat was Belle, who was left behind and abandoned, perhaps after her family relocated far from their house and forgot about her. Belle was characterized as being friendly from the start by the rescue workers who worked with her. Yet, she had been abandoned at some time and needed to be saved, so it’s difficult to find the good in that misery.
In November, the Langley Animal Protection Society (LAPS) received a call regarding a stunning black cat.
The cat was homeless and normally looked after by neighbors, but when the weather became chilly and Winter raged, they asked LAPS for help.
“Before her human relocated and regrettably departed without her, she was a companion. We think she was adored since she was a loving and trustworthy girl from the day we brought her home.

The cat was given the name Belle in honor of Beauty and the Beast, and Narod, a nice woman, immediately took care of her.
She produced a litter of purr-fectly adorable black panther kittens not long after the new year!
Belle has been provided a secure home to live with her new offspring rather than being abandoned outside to give birth and care for 6 kittens in this chilly winter weather.

Four of the six kittens are boys and two are girls, and they are all named after characters from Disney movies.

The cats were “noisy, nursing, and… unbelievably cute,” according to LAPS.

The kittens may be little, but they “eat like animals,” they added.

“Separating these young ones has been difficult.”

LAPS also characterized the kittens as “adventurous, inquisitive, and incredibly lively” as soon as their eyes opened.

And according to Love Meow:
The little “panthers” follow Mama Belle everywhere she goes and learn from her how to be a large cat.
LAPS, a nonprofit organization, will see to it that each and every one of these adorable kittens finds the perfect forever home. Goodness gracious!
