Kim, an animal rescuer from Hamilton Animal Services, found a pregnant cat wandering in the community in search of food.
To ensure its safety, she contacted Salty Animal Rescue’s cofounders, Karly and Katelyn Saltarski, for assistance.

Karly shared with Embora Cats that her mom wasn’t thrilled with humans at first but eventually let her sneak in a few pets.
Despite being a 5 1/2 on the spice scale, with some extra effort, they were able to bring her down to a solid one.
After living on the streets for most of her life, the expectant cat mother was finally able to relax and get some shuteye in a safe and quiet place.

Banksy, the once-timid cat, grew to enjoy the affection and comfort of her new home.
Her caretakers were relieved to learn that this would be her final litter, thus ensuring that neither she nor her offspring would contribute to the overpopulation of their community.
Shortly after, Banksy gave birth to a litter of seven healthy tuxedo kittens.

When Banksy had all seven kittens while I was away, she chose the litter box over the perfectly clean and cozy birthing box.
Karly stepped in to help clean up and moved the feline family to a comfortable and warm nest.
Banksy eventually cared for her kittens, which were named Warhol, Frida, Pablo, Mona, Monet, Bob Ross, and Dali.

Karly provided supplemental care for her litter of seven kittens, while Banksy was responsible for maintaining their cleanliness and providing love.
Two of the kittens required around-the-clock supportive care, with Bob being the weakest of the litter and needing medical treatment and tube-feeding to recover fully.

When Mama Banksy was still adjusting to life as an indoor cat, Karly decided to introduce her dog, Nood, to the kittens at three weeks old. The introduction went well and Mama Banksy was very relieved.
Watch Mama Banksy, Nood and the kittens in this cute video:
Meet our official resident kitten-cuddler, whose sole job is to snuggle rescue kittens and shower them with love. She has snuggled an immeasurable amount of kittens, ensuring each one receives the attention they need.

Banksy is taking a break from being a mom and enjoying spending time with her humans. She has had a tough time, but with her little ones growing up and her humans’ help, she is doing much better.
The humans are grateful that she trusts them, and Banksy has made significant progress. She even comes out of her safe space to feed everyone while they are with her.

Nood is the ultimate kitten nanny. When Banksy needs a break, she steps in to shower the foster kittens with licks and love.
With her abundance of experience, Nood teaches the kittens valuable socialization skills, ensuring they are well-prepared for interactions with people and other canines.
All seven of the kittens seem quite happy snuggling up for a snooze, and Nood is obsessed with every kitten she can get her paws on.

Karly from Embora Cats revealed that the seven-week-old tuxedos are almost ready for their next phase in life, and each of them has developed unique personalities.
Mama Banksy has made significant progress in learning to trust humans, which is all thanks to her kittens’ guidance.

With head bunts and purrs, this affectionate cat seeks love when I visit the room. She would be a perfect addition to a quieter home and a loving family.
She will never have to worry about food or shelter, and she’s guaranteed never to have another litter. With a constant purr, she’s ready to enjoy her best indoor life with her forever family.
