The Feline is Overjoyed When Woman Returns to Rescue it From its Life on the Streets

While walking down the street, a Good Samaritan stumbled upon a stray cat curled up on the pavement. She called out to the feline, and much to her surprise, the cat walked right up to her.

After wandering the streets of Brooklyn, New York for quite some time, a tabby cat was discovered by Gissell, a volunteer for NYCCC, who kindly provided it with food.

As soon as she arrived, a friendly cat caught her attention. It was curled up in front of the homeless shelter and woke up when she spoke to it. The tabby sauntered up to her, looking for attention.

Gissell rescued him from the street and placed him in a foster home.

Upon returning to the same spot with a humane trap and additional food, she searched for the cat but initially couldn’t find it.

Gissell called the tabby, who came running towards her, excited to see an old friend. “Today’s your day. You’ve waited long enough,” Gissell said.

When bringing the animal home, she quickly reached out to Little Wanderers NYC, a local rescue group, for assistance in helping the little guy find a safe and loving home.

“The cat curled up outside in this weather breaks her heart. She knows this friendly feline shouldn’t be on the street.”

Following a rescue operation, the team incorrectly assumed that a large cat was a pregnant female. Nevertheless, Melina Nastazia, a volunteer from Little Wanderers NYC, later identified the feline as a big neutered male.

“After treating his ear mites and fleas, he seems grateful to be indoors and expresses it with loud purrs and kneading.”

Crookshanks, the six-year-old tabby, has an affinity for cuddling and will often bury his head into his foster family’s chest or belly for a full-on embrace.

This cat exudes confidence and elegance, much like a tiger. He has a penchant for catnip and mealtime, and his favorite place to be is on a lap, making biscuits while receiving neck and back pets.
