In a horrifying display of animal cruelty, a beloved family cat named Iddy had a miraculous escape from death after being struck by an arrow in the neck.

The incident occurred outside the family’s home in the northern suburbs of Adelaide, leaving Iddy seriously injured and in need of immediate medical attention.

After being rushed to an animal emergency center, Iddy received urgent treatment and is now on the road to recovery.

The incident has left the family shaken, and they are urging anyone with information about the attack to come forward and help bring the perpetrator to justice.

The senseless act of violence has once again highlighted the need for greater protection for our furry companions and stricter penalties for those who engage in animal abuse.

At the stroke of 2 am, Logen, a 12-year-old owner, jolted awake to a horrifying sight. His beloved furry companion, Iddy, a two-year-old pet, was impaled by an arrow, piercing through its delicate neck.

Thankfully, skilled surgeons intervened just in time to save Iddy’s life. However, the vet deemed the vicious attack as nothing short of “horrific.”

Angie Jensen and Logan rushed Iddy, their beloved pet, to the animal emergency center in Norwood, which was located 40 minutes away.

During the journey, the car ride was harrowing due to the arrow sticking out of Iddy’s neck, and Jensen was hesitant to move it.

However, their prompt action aided in saving the animal’s life, according to vet Bruce Meyers. The surgeons worked against the clock, fearing internal bleeding, and managed to extract the weapon safely after 20 minutes.

According to Meyers, it’s astonishing that the injury avoided all essential structures such as the trachea and major blood vessels, as reported by 7NEWS. The impact of such damage is devastating for the entire team, including pet lovers and veterinarians.

Although Iddy is recovering at home, the hunt for the culprits of this senseless act remains a top priority. Logan revealed that Iddy will be an indoor cat from now on.
