At the shelter, Nala smiles at everyone she meets, hoping to catch someone’s attention.
A kind-hearted person from the Netherlands discovered Nala when she was very pregnant. The friendly feline was in labor but was experiencing difficulties in giving birth to her kittens.
She was expeditiously conveyed to a veterinary hospital where an emergency cesarean section was performed but in the survival of only one of her two offspring. Subsequently, Dierenbescherming, a prominent animal protection group based in the Netherlands, kindly took them under their wing, providing the feline family an opportunity to lead a better life.
Over the next few weeks, her kitten grew into a healthy, independent young cat, and has since found a forever home. Nala has also blossomed, being around people in a safe environment.
She adores everyone she meets at the shelter, and comes running when someone walks by her condo.
Ineke Kamps, a volunteer at the shelter, mentioned that Nala, a Cat with a cleft lip and a skin condition, needs a hypo-allergenic diet to manage her condition and that this diet has helped improve her health.
Upon spotting a visitor, she meows excitedly and stands against the glass window to get their attention, flaunting her endearing personality.
If you sit down with her, she will rub up against you and greet you as her friend.
Nala is the happiest little girl when she’s with a human friend. Every time Ineke visits the shelter, she is greeted by the little love-bug who is eager for some cuddle time.
Ineke wants a house with a (fenced) garden and humans who are home often and accept her special diet. She’s fine with other cats but needs individual feeding.
Nala’s love doesn’t discriminate, she is friendly to both humans and furry kind. At around two years old, she is still a kitten at heart, playful and rambunctious.

When she needs a nap, she prefers lying down on a warm lap or cuddling with a friend.
Nala, a female Labrador Retriever mix, has been living in the shelter for over six months now. While waiting for her forever home, she continues to spread happiness and bring smiles to everyone who visits the shelter.

In an update to Embora Cats, Ineke stated that the animal is thriving and displaying positive social behavior towards all other animals.
