Keli Keningau Prayitno, a 28-year-old passer-by from Central Java, Indonesia, attempted to help this mourning cat by adopting her after the owner’s passing a year ago. However, the feline has remained devoted to her late owner and hasn’t left the owner’s grave since.
The cat rarely departs from her favored location, choosing instead to remain at the grave where she can roll in the earth and sleep every night. Although strangers do offer her food and water, it’s clear that the cat finds the greatest solace and contentment at her sacred spot.
Keli told The Mirror, “She sleeps there and meows, showing how close animals are to their owners.”
