The Life of a 10-year-old Feline Was Transformed After Being Rescued from The Snow

A 10-year-old female cat was discovered wandering in the snow until she was taken into a warm home, resulting in a significant change to her life.

A 10-year-old cat was discovered wandering alone in the snow, malnourished and with multiple health issues.

Despite being brought to an animal shelter, no one claimed her as their own. Chatons Orphelins Montreal, after learning of her situation, promptly came to her aid by providing a foster home and the necessary care.

She was found outside in the snow, needing lots of help

Celine Crom of the rescue shared that a wonderful volunteer brought Padmee to them, driving for two hours.

The rescue named her Padmee, and despite weighing barely 2.5 kg, she came out of her shell once she felt safe.

As soon as she breathed in the scent of indoor life and nestled into fresh blankets, Padmee was at ease.

Her hunger was so intense that she devoured a full plate of food, as if tomorrow might not exist.

Once settled, her inquisitive nature emerged, and she explored her new surroundings with curiosity, rubbing against her people to show her gratitude.

After Padmee was diagnosed with diabetes, the vet removed a benign mass on her nose and two others on her belly.

Now, Padmee is a lively and cuddly cat who enjoys taking naps near her humans and asking for attention when she wakes up.

Every morning, Padmee’s foster family is greeted with her signature quacks, which resemble the sound of a duck.

She’s come a long way and has overcome stomach issues with good care and great food. Despite facing hardships, Padmee’s a fighter, and after two months, she’s made a full recovery.

Padmee is a happy pup who loves spending time with her humans. She enjoys their hugs and being held like a baby.

Whether napping by their side or watching TV together, she is content as can be when sharing the couch with them.

Wherever they go, she follows, always eager to see what they’re up to. And when the sun shines, you’ll find her basking in a cozy basket by the window, soaking up the warmth.

According to Celine, Padmee is thriving in foster care and ready to be adopted by a family who is willing to provide a loving home for an older diabetic cat.

Celine added that Padmee even rides on their shoulders like a parrot when seeking attention.
