A Kitten Possessing a Strong Fortitude of Character, Determined to Do Everything Just Like Any Other Cat

Earlier this year, two pregnant feral cats were rescued and brought to FosterBabyCats, a kitten rescue organization located in Columbus, Ohio. The organization’s founder, Ms. Jillian, provided a suitable and secure environment for the expectant felines to raise their offspring.

A light calico gave birth to a ginger kitten named Bean, just a week later. Despite his small size, weighing only 75 grams, Bean possessed an unwavering spirit and determination to survive.

Three days after the birth of the first kitten, a second one named Burrito arrived. The two quickly settled in to nurse with their mother. As they grew, one of them, Bean, caught the attention of their caretaker, Jillian, due to his smaller size and twisted legs.

“Jillian shared with Embora Cats her efforts to provide the best possible fighting chance.”

With 24/7 care and love, Bean and Burrito achieved steady weight gain. Their bellies grew round and chubby, and they displayed them proudly after every feeding.

After being evaluated by veterinarians, Bean was diagnosed with a developing disorder of bones and cartilage known as osteochondrodystrophy. It was also determined that there is a chance Bean may be suffering from hydrocephalus, a condition involving the buildup of fluid in the brain.

Despite his small stature, the ginger proved resilient and maintained a joyful approach to life. He grew rapidly and strived to imitate his brother Burrito in every way.

Jillian cares for the kitten by monitoring its condition and providing the best possible care. This includes helping the kitten strengthen its legs through exercises and stretching.

“Jillian stated that Bean’s daily walking practice and physical therapy sessions will enhance his mobility.”

Bean may not always be eager to attend physical therapy, but with Burrito’s encouragement in the form of walking and running alongside him, Bean is more motivated to participate.

The joyful ginger boy delights in play wrestling with his sibling, receiving affectionate belly rubs, and performing charming roly-polies. He exudes happiness and has plenty of love to share.

Bean’s gait has greatly improved, enabling him to walk around confidently. After a rigorous exercise session, he finds comfort in snuggling up with his brother for a nap, recharging before the next playtime.

“He has made significant progress in both muscle development and efficient movement techniques. The two brothers enjoy their physical playtime on the yoga mats.”

With a never-say-die attitude and an endearing personality, Bean is determined to live life to the fullest every day.

“Jillian’s kitten brings her immense joy, as she watches him embrace life with happiness,” shared with Embora Cats.
