The renowned Pixie and Brutus tales from the internet continue to astound fans of comics artist Ben Hed. His comics depict the exploits of an odd pair: a vivacious cat and a former military canine you wouldn’t want to run into.
2.5 million people follow Ben’s “Pet Foolery” Instagram account, who uses it to spread happiness on a regular basis. Pull your seat closer because we’ve just finished wrapping up another round of Pixie and Brutus’ most recent antics.

Although not being intended to be a series, Ben’s Pet Foolery Instagram feed garnered a massive following of 2.5 million followers. As Pixie and Brutus have an almost cult-like following now, Ben must continuously keep up with both his comics and their fans.
Yet coming up with fresh, intriguing concepts for his ongoing comic book is difficult. Ben recently admitted to Embora Cats, “I feel it’s getting harder and harder to come up with new ideas and gags with animal comics involving recurring characters and a continuing tale (i.e. Pixie and Brutus).

Ben has recently been considering his content from a wider angle. With the current Kickstarter campaign I’m working on, I’ve been attempting to diversify not only the format of my comics but also the kind of content I produce.
This does not imply that Pixie and Brutus will leave anytime soon. In our prior conversation, Ben told his readers, “I will always adore creating family-friendly comics. Yet, he continued, “keeping things PG all the time may be quite restricting. In the foreseeable future, I really want to investigate some ideas I have for darker, less lighthearted stories.
