Two people caused traffic to stop in order to help him.
While driving along a Los Angeles freeway, a woman noticed a furry creature in the carpool lane. Realizing it was a tiny kitten, she couldn’t stop or pull over due to safety concerns. Instead, she contacted Hope for Paws urgently, hoping they would save the kitten.
Upon receiving the text, Hope for Paws rescuers Eldad Hagar and Loreta Frankonyte promptly drove to the specified location on the freeway. While passing by, they spotted the kitten and quickly pulled over near an exit, considering the urgency of the situation and the high-speed traffic surrounding it.

Hagar wrote in a video about the rescue, “Loreta and I stopped traffic on the freeway after we were ready. I approached the kitten from the front while Loreta surprised him from behind.”
As planned, Frankonyte quickly caught up with the kitten…

…Acted quickly and seized him before he had a chance to realize what was occurring.

Hagar said everything went perfectly according to plan, and people were really happy to see us rescue little Napoleon.

In a swift motion, they returned him to the car. He found solace in Frankonyte’s lap, overwhelmed with joy at finally being secure. Hagar dialed the woman who had notified them about Napoleon, expressing gratitude for her life-saving assistance. Without delay, they embarked on a direct journey to the vet to ensure the well-being of the little fellow.

Arriving at the vet, Napoleon’s rescuers promptly offered him some food, which he eagerly devoured. It was evident that he had endured prolonged hunger. The frailness of the tiny kitten made it implausible for him to have wandered onto the freeway unaided, strongly suggesting that he had been callously discarded from a car like mere rubbish.
Hagar was astonished that the sick, skinny little guy with an eye infection managed to make it to the other side of the freeway, unable to move due to weakness. It seemed unlikely that he could have crossed six lanes of traffic alone.

Napoleon was treated for an eye infection and fleas, and then he had a nice bath. Afterward, he got to play with another kitten, and he already seemed much better.

A woman driving by noticed Napoleon, a tiny kitten. Instead of ignoring him, she did something to save his life. Now, Napoleon has another opportunity to live.
