Three underweight and sickly kittens arrived at their foster home, requiring ample time and care to recover and develop properly.

According to Jennifer, an IndyHumane foster volunteer, “They were very skinny and dirty when I got them, so I assume they were on their own for a bit before they made their way to IndyHumane” (in Indianapolis, Indiana).
“These kittens were underweight at roughly four weeks old, weighing about 12 to 13 ounces each.”

Although the tabby girls, Splash and Spritz, were in a difficult condition, they still showed plenty of sass. On the other hand, their ginger brother, Squirt, was initially shy, but with the help of good food and soft things, he became more comfortable.
Spritz displays a cute grouchy look and isn’t afraid to flaunt her cattitude. Of the three, she is the most playful and adores her new home and toys.

The ginger kitten warmed up to his foster mother after a few days and even climbed up into her lap for some deep hugs.
“At first, Squirt was the wariest of me. Even though he snarled when I entered the room, he is now completely fixated on me. He always wants to be on my lap and purrs uncontrollably when I scratch his head or face,” Jennifer added.

The kittens have put on some healthy weight and are making good use of their newly discovered energy thanks to proper care, a comfortable environment, and nourishing food.
To keep the group occupied, Jennifer provides them with a variety of toys and cat furniture.

When the kittens were prepared for a meet-and-greet, Bear, Jennifer’s resident cat and master foster brother, was eager to greet them. For a lot of the foster children who have gone through the door, he has been a huge assistance.
“There was no touch at the initial meeting. Bear piqued the interest of the two females, but Squirt wasn’t so sure. He first acted in the same manner as me”, but Jennifer informed Embora Cats that he quickly warmed up.

The kittens were prepared to play with their housemate after roughly two weeks in foster care. Bear entered the playpen without delay and took on the role of the kittens’ teacher. He simply enjoys helping with the foster children.

Bear and Squirt like to relax by the window and watch kitty TV. The ginger youngster will attempt to play with Bear’s tail, his favorite toy, while they are not cuddling.
Bear gives hugs to those who most need them and appears to always know what his foster children need.

Splash and Spritz insist that they are the dominant cats in their playpen, so Bear is giving the tabby sisters the room they need. Squirt, meantime, adores Bear’s company and often requests attention.
Squirt has unquestionably developed into the group’s most opinionated and attention-seeking kitten. He enjoys being held and cuddled.

With his magical touch, Bear has a way of giving kittens a sense of self-worth. He will wander around entertaining the boisterous young children and allow them to cuddle up to him for comfort on their own terms.
The dominant figure in the foster room is still Spritz. Despite being small, she has a strong personality.

Bear himself used to be a foster when he came to Jennifer in need of affection, just like these kittens. He became a permanent resident in the family and the coolest friend to all their foster kitties.
