A Kitten, which was discovered in the dark and dingy basement of a building, was rescued and given a complete transformation, including a warm bath, a healthy meal, and a cozy bed, before finding its forever home and living its happily-ever-after.
Little Wanderers NYC recently shared a heartwarming story with Embora Cats about a courageous little kitten.
Sarena, a compassionate resident from the Bronx, has been working with Little Wanderers NYC to rescue stray cats for years. During a recent rescue mission, Sarena found a little orange kitten in the basement of a residential building.
Despite the kitten’s poor condition, Sarena and Little Wanderers NYC were determined to save him. With help from one of their partner veterinarians, the kitten made a remarkable recovery.
Lucky Seven, the tabby, received treatment for his URI from volunteers who also fed him around the clock. As a result, he perked up and was able to open his eyes for the first time in a while.
He even rolled on his back for belly rubs, and his strength continued to improve. The volunteers were proud of him and couldn’t resist his built-in snuggles and unconditional love.
Upon being estimated at 4 1/2 weeks old, a kitten was brought into a foster home with Adrienne to ensure a comfortable healing process and optimal growth.
Lucky Seven showed improvement after receiving deworm medication, breathing more easily with a freshly cleaned face and better retention of nutrients.
Within a week, Lucky Seven turned from a weak, sightless kitten into a lively one with bright eyes, a big appetite, and a thirst for love and food. “He’s a survivor, and his contentment shows in his joyful meows.”
After spending ample time with the kitten and gifting him a faux momma, Adrienne introduced him to her resident cat, Casper, when he was healthy enough to explore the rest of the house and socialize.
After being rescued by Little Wanderers NYC, Casper found a forever home with Adrienne and quickly became friends with an orange tabby. They enjoyed playing with toys, cardboard boxes, and cat trees together.
Adrienne is Lucky Seven’s savior, and he shows his gratitude by purring, snuggling, and following her around like a shadow.
His personality has bloomed since becoming an indoor cat, and he now loves scampering around the house like he owns it. After tiring himself out, Lucky Seven rests in his comfy bed, where he happily melts into a peaceful slumber.
Adrienne initially fostered the kitten, but she couldn’t resist falling in love with him. Now, he’s thrilled to have loving humans and a playful feline brother to share his antics with.
Arthur, formerly known as Lucky Seven, has found his forever home with caring human parents and a feline sibling named Casper. Despite a rough start, he’s living the life he’s always wanted.
