While accompanying her canine companion on a walk, Ashley Pennington was startled by a soft meow originating from her surroundings. Despite her diligent efforts, she found herself unable to pinpoint the exact source of the sound.
After reaching home, just a few minutes passed before the meowing resumed, growing increasingly boisterous. Filled with a blend of trepidation and anticipation, Ashley instinctively ventured outside, where her determined search
“Due to his limited size and inability to descend unaided, I took the initiative to retrieve our ladder.”
After skillfully helping the kitten down from the tree, Ashley assumed her task was complete. Unexpectedly, the tabby male cat approached her, affectionately nuzzled against her legs, and promptly made himself at home in her residence.
When the kitten saw Otis, the cat-loving resident dog, in the yard with the open door, it quickly dashed inside.
According to Ashley’s account given to Embora Cats, she checked Facebook and patrolled the neighborhood to inquiring if anyone had lost the pet, knowing her husband was asleep and not keen on having another pet.
The orange tabby dashed, explored, and ended up kneading and making biscuits on Ashley’s lap.
When my husband woke up, I alerted him, “We have a problem.” I escorted him to the garage where the kitten was, and much to our surprise, the little furball simply strutted inside, as if it believed it was in charge.
The husband wasn’t quite sure about the new arrival and suggested contacting the shelter. He believed they didn’t need another pet.
After 20 minutes, Ashley told Embora Cats that her husband was playing outside with the kitty and decided to name it Kevin.

The friendly striped cat quickly won the affection of its human friend and settled comfortably on his lap for a nap, displaying an uncanny sense of being in its rightful place.
The next day, I called the shelter and described the dog’s appearance, requesting them to contact me if someone lost him. Surprisingly, no one claimed him, including the neighbors.
With Kevin officially becoming a permanent member of their family, they now had a cuddle buddy who purred loudly in their arms.
Ashley joyfully shared the strong bond between him and our dog Otis. We couldn’t be happier to have him as a cherished part of our lives, even when he’s brimming with energy, causing damage to curtains and engaging in Parkour.
“He loves to cuddle and be in the window, and looking outside.”
Stray turned into a handsome tabby cat with a larger-than-life personality. An avid collector of cardboard boxes.
He loved finding comfort in a pizza box, squeezing it into small boxes, and creating kitty caves out of packages.
After starting his life as a stray, Kevin now lives happily indoors, enjoying a life of luxury.
