Witness the heartwarming rescue of a helpless kitten from the middle of a dangerous sidewalk. See just how small and fragile it is as it snuggles in the hand of its caring rescuer.

During a routine walk in the neighborhood, a compassionate individual noticed a small kitten lying on the sidewalk with crusted eyes resulting from an upper respiratory infection.
After waiting to see if the kitten’s mother or siblings were nearby, the individual contacted Kitty of Angels, a reputable cat rescue organization, for assistance.

After rushing the small and ill kitten named Rocco to the vet for emergency medical care, he was treated for URI and went home with his foster mom for around-the-clock care.
The tuxedo boy was so tiny that he fit right in his human’s hand, and for the first time, he fell asleep with a full belly while being held, content and comfortable.

Upon his arrival, Rocco’s loving and cuddly nature was immediately apparent, endearing him to his foster mom and everyone else.
However, a few days later, Rocco started experiencing problems with his bowel movements, which caused concern for his health. As a result, he was taken to the vet, where he was hospitalized for a total of nine days.

So there’s this kitten, Rocco – treated for constipation, but then it turns out he’s got congenital hypothyroidism, a rare thing that messes with your growth and development.
But don’t worry, Rocco took it all in stride and remained his lovable self. He’s a force to be reckoned with!

Prepare to fall in love with Rocco, the tuxedo kitten who resembles a baby owl when he stands on his feet and gazes at his humans with big doe eyes.
When held, he melts into your hands, kneading away before snuggling up for a nap. And if that’s not enough to steal your heart, Rocco recently wowed his foster mom by eating on his own like a big kitty!

After returning to foster care, Rocco stretched out on his cozy blanket and began to show off his newly discovered strength.
Supported by a community of people cheering him on, he found his voice and began to explore his surroundings, even following his foster mom around. Rocco is a charming little cat who loves to climb onto his foster mom’s lap and knead with his tiny paws.
He’s learned how to escape his kitty pen to be near his human companions and get the attention he craves.

Lizzie shared with Embora Cats that they are in the process of regulating his medication, which takes some time to take effect. She also mentioned that the cat is improving and that they will continue with the process until everything is sorted out, as he is a perfect boy.

Rocco currently weighs 13 ounces and displays an enthusiastic and joyful personality. We anticipate he will grow and develop into a strong and loyal companion.
