Sara Sharp, founder of the Community Cat Club located in South New Jersey, was informed last month about a litter of kittens that required critical care. In an interview with Embora Cats, Sara revealed that the mother cat was unable to produce sufficient milk to care for her litter.

Although the litter didn’t make it, the buff tabby kitten proved to be a fighter. Despite being the only survivor, his tiny body showed incredible strength from the beginning. Thanks to tube-feedings, 24/7 care, and lots of love, he’s on the road to recovery.

Sara provided an update to Embora Cats, revealing that Christian Bale, the smallest kitten, started thriving after two weeks.
As he became more active, Sara upgraded his nest to a more spacious kitten suite to provide him with more room to explore.

Christian loved the extra space and soft things to knead on, but nothing made him happier than having a friend.
He’s a sweet little dude, always super chill, but the minute he hears a voice, he jumps up and begs to be held.

Sara knew the benefits of having a feline friend for a kitten’s emotional and behavioral development.
Determined to find a companion for Christian, she searched her rescue community for a kitten in need.
To her delight, she was contacted that very night about a little tuxedo who was just brought in and needed a loving home.

Upon meeting his new friend Christian, Heath, the new kitten, immediately clung to him for a long, intense hug as if to make up for lost snuggles.
Prior to their meeting, Heath was very vocal and demanded constant companionship by screaming for attention and refusing to take no for an answer.

Sara shared with Embora Cats that Heath was extremely lonely, but after finding a friend, the two have become inseparable. Heath now follows his new friend around the playpen and refuses to ever be alone again.

Christian and Heath are best friends who share a playful energy that has a positive influence on each other. They are always together, working towards their goals and celebrating their milestones.

As they reach five weeks of age, the two are starting to learn how to eat independently. Interestingly, they even share a bowl together.
However, their eating habits couldn’t be more different – Christian eats with the poise of a little gentleman, while Heath eagerly dives right in with both his face and paws.
