Following a tragic car accident involving their mother, a litter of four kittens were brought to ARPO animal rescue in Indianapolis for shelter and care.
Throughout their stay, the kittens remained close, huddled together for comfort and companionship.

The three-week-old kittens require round-the-clock care and medical attention. While one of the white kittens has an injured paw and the other two are wobbly, the tabby seems to be the glue that holds them all together.

Lori White, a foster volunteer of ARPO, shared with Love Meow that among the three girls, one of the white kittens is a boy.
The kittens, named Ducky, Cera, Petrie, and Littlefoot, have shown improvement in their overall well-being with good food, supportive care, and a comfortable environment.
Initially, Cera and Petrie were thought to have cerebellar hypoplasia, but it was later discovered that their muscles were just slower to develop.

Petrie underwent surgical removal of a warble, a parasitic skin lump caused by fly larvae, from his neck. Ducky was hospitalized for two days due to aspiration pneumonia, a condition in which a cat inhales fluid into its lungs while eating or drinking.
Littlefoot had an injured paw that was treated with wound care and antibiotics for a week, resulting in the formation of a smaller mitten on her left front leg.

Ducky is the only tabby in her litter, making her stand out from her siblings. She vocalizes when it’s time for her next meal, and she was one of the first kittens to use the litter box successfully.
After satisfying her hunger, she enjoys a good belly rub before joining her littermates for an extended cuddle session.

The quartet has made significant progress in the past few weeks, highlighting their individual personalities through playful behavior such as napping and running around their room, wrestling and climbing.

Ducky craves attention and isn’t shy about expressing her opinions. She’s a natural supervisor and hairstylist and enjoys perching on her foster mom’s shoulders to showcase her skills.

These kittens were once homeless but were rescued by a foster family and have now fully recovered.
Lori shared with Embora Cats that they will be available for adoption through ARPO in early September and are eager to find their forever homes.

Littlefoot, a female cat, has blossomed into a beautiful pet who loves to play on the stairs and showcase her little nubby paw.

After a rough start, Ducky the tabby is now a little love-bug, bringing joy to these little ones with her signature cuddles.
