Once upon a time, there was a feline that struggled to make ends meet. Despite the kitty’s best efforts, life dealt him a tough hand, leaving him no choice but to seek assistance by knocking on strangers’ doors.
On the day of love, a lady noticed peculiar noises emanating from her yard. Intrigued, she ventured outside to investigate and was surprised to find an orange tabby meowing and pawing at her door amidst the snowy terrain.
The woman snapped a photograph of the feline and promptly contacted Marie Simard, the mastermind behind Un Chat à la Fois, a renowned kitten rescue organization located in Quebec, Canada.

Simard recalled the experience of taking Aslan, a new addition to her furry family, to the vet. Despite going into the carrier alone, the feline exhibited an amicable demeanor during the checkup, allowing the vet to conduct a thorough examination including blood tests and X-rays.
Aslan’s behavior indicated that he was not a feral cat, which was a pleasant surprise for Simard. She decided to name him after the lion character from The Chronicles of Narnia book series.
Simard and her family initially presumed that Aslan was a lost cat due to his friendly behavior, but upon further investigation, they realized he did not have a microchip or had been neutered, leading them to believe that he was abandoned by his previous owner due to financial constraints.
Despite searching for a missing cat, they were unable to locate any information about Aslan’s previous owners.

Aslan was suffering from a multitude of health issues. His teeth were in a state of decay, and he had frostbite, a bite wound that was causing him to bleed, as well as fleas and worms. To add to his troubles, he was also diabetic and had a skin allergy. His blood work was concerning, and he required several days of hospitalization to stabilize his condition before being released to his foster family.
Fortunately, Aslan received the medical attention he needed, including surgery to address his dental and eye problems. The vet who treated him remarked on how sick and exhausted he was, emphasizing that without prompt intervention, he may not have survived the harsh winter conditions.
Overall, Aslan’s story serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of timely and comprehensive medical care for our animal companions, and the life-changing impact it can have on their health and well-being.

Aslan purred with gratitude towards the kind-hearted individuals who answered his desperate meow for assistance. Simard, the veterinarian, praised the feline’s amiable disposition towards the clinic staff, often extending his paw out of the cage for affectionate pets.
Through the abundant love and meticulous care, Aslan’s health markedly improved within a few short days, allowing him to embark on the next phase of his recovery in a cozy foster home.

Aslan, an adorable and lively creature, was eagerly awaiting the day he would finally be adopted and find a loving family to call his own. After a period of nurturing in foster care, Simard, the caregiver, decided it was time to spread the word about Aslan’s availability for adoption.
However, Aslan’s foster mother had other plans in mind. She had grown deeply attached to the lovable Aslan and couldn’t bear the thought of letting him go. Upon hearing this, Simard consented to the foster mother’s request, and Aslan stayed with her, much to his delight.

Aslan had forged a close bond with two rescue cats, Cleo and Jasmin. Tragically, Jasmin passed away, leaving Aslan and Cleo to navigate their friendship alone. Despite his diabetes, Aslan has a hearty appetite and often eyes his owner’s food with envy. She must be vigilant, lest he snatch a bite. Occasionally, she relents and rewards him with a special treat.
Aslan is an indoor cat now, having forgotten his wild outdoor life. He cherishes his cozy pillow and delights in snuggling up to his owner. His bursts of affection and playful energy always keep her on her toes, and she treasures the unpredictable joy he brings to her life.

Aslan’s health has significantly improved, and he is now living a happy life after making a full recovery.
